Hlevel started the design for a new modern 4,000 SF High performance home in the Seagate , Naples Fl. The 2 story waterfront residence will be LEED(R) certified and rated by the Florida Green Building Coalition.

What is High performance building?

“high performance building” means a building that integrates and optimizes all major high-performance building attributes, including energy efficiency, durability, life-cycle performance, and occupant productivity.

Sustainability is essentially a method of harvesting or using a resource so that the resource is not depleted or permanently damage.

Sustainability is a big word today, but has been around since a long time. So how can Sustainability be implemented in the architectural design process wisely? Architecture becomes the reflection of the region it is built in. In Florida, even more precisely South Florida, the subtropical climate dictates a different sustainable design approach then in Chicago for example. Environmentally conscious architecture in Florida is relative to its environment and economy- and the ability to maintain.
