Completed in 2021, Hlevel Architecture designed this private residence for a family of tennis professionals, who relocated to beautiful Sanibel Island, Florida.
Surrounded by mangroves and natural island vegetation, the client desired to have a fully screened-in tennis court adjacent to the house. This was a challenge because the local jurisdictions and Design review board have strict architectural guidelines. Hlevel managed to hide the big enclosure with strategic landscaping and win approval.
Built on raised pilings, the home extends another 2 stories over the covered carport and pool deck. The house includes 2 bedrooms, 3 and 1/2 baths, and extensive terraces connecting the interior spaces with the outdoors.
