Designed for a Swedish family who ultimately made Naples home, this residence bridges Scandinavian modernism with the rhythms of Southwest Florida living. Clean lines, restrained proportions, and a vertical footprint reflect Nordic design principles, while the materials, indoor-outdoor connections, and spatial flow respond to the local climate, water, and lifestyle.

The narrow lot near Vanderbilt Beach required a thoughtful vertical stacking of the program, resulting in a home that feels both efficient and generous. Living spaces are organized around light, views, and circulation — from the elevated main level to outdoor kitchens, terraces, and water-facing rooms designed for everyday living rather than formality.

Natural materials play a central role in grounding the modern architecture: warm walnut, pecky sinker cypress, textured tile, and subtle patinated finishes bring depth and warmth without excess. Throughout the home, Scandinavian restraint meets Florida durability, resulting in spaces that feel calm, livable, and timeless.

This project was shaped through close collaboration with the homeowners, whose hands-on involvement and strong design sensibility allowed the architecture and interiors to evolve together. The result is a family home that reflects both cultures —European in spirit, Floridian in rhythm — designed to support everyday living, connection, and longevity.
